The Workplace Gender Equality Agency released a statement marking 31 August 2018 as Equal Pay Day. It marks the additional 62 days that women had to work to earn the same amount as men did on 30 June this year.
The pay gap is reported to be at its lowest in 20 years at 14.6% but there is still a long way to go to combat pay inequity Australia and worldwide. WGEA have provided some valuable resources and education assisting individuals and organisations to continue the conversation and action around pay equity.
